RECIPROCAL TARIFFS FOR CHINA, HONG KONG AND MACAU REMAIN AT 10% FOR ANOTHER 90 DAYS

The President issued a new Executive Order on August 11, 2025 announcing a 90-day suspension extension of the reciprocal tariffs for products from China, Hong Kong and Macau that were scheduled to expire at 12:01 AM EDT on August 12, 2025, while negotiations with China continue. 

Tariff Schedule Heading 9903.01.63 will remain suspended until 12:01 AM EST on November 10, 2025, and the baseline reciprocal tariff for China at 10% remains under classification number 9903.01.25.  Until further notice, the 10% baseline tariff and the International Emergency Economic Powers ACT (IEEPA) tariff of 20% for products of China and Hong Kong that do not qualify for an exception are in effect, for a total cumulative tariff of 30%.  Section 301 tariffs ranging from 7.5% to 25% also remain in effect.
