REMINDER
Under Importer Periodic Monthly Statement, or Importer PMS, CBP will do one monthly withdrawal for all entries in a given month on the 15th business day of the month following the entry’s release.
CBP will communicate information about this withdrawal to you via a series of 4 statements that you will receive by email.
1) Daily Statement Report (Preliminary) - You will receive this 7 business days after the Customs Release. This will give you the individual entry numbers and amounts due for each entry.
2) Daily Statement Report (Final) - You will receive this the next business day after you receive the Daily Statement Report (Preliminary).
This is just a confirmation that the preliminary statement was accepted by Customs.
3) Periodic Monthly Statement Report (Preliminary) - You will receive this on the 11th business day of the month following the month of the entry's release. This lists the individual Periodic Daily Statements that will be paid on the monthly statement via the ACH pull that will be done on the 15th business day of the month. Refer to the calendar above for those dates. The Preliminary Periodic Monthly Statement should be used to ensure you have sufficient funds in your account for the payment.
4) Periodic Monthly Statement Report (Final) - Once the PMS statement is paid on the 15th business day of the month, you will receive a Final Periodic Monthly Statement letting you know that payment has been confirmed to Customs.
